Rhododendron leaf damage #454804

Damage spreading from 1 bush to the next, Also seems to kill the buds, It Started last summer, & is picking up speed this spring. Does not seem to affect native rhododendrons.

Our plant pathologist looked at your photos. This looks like the decline of older leaves, not a disease. This symptom also occurs because of winter injury (which affects all types of broadleaf evergreens). Winter injury can also damage developing buds.
