I have fall bearing raspberries that I have not cut back yet. There are now buds on the canes.
Can I cut them back now or is it better to leave them?

Expert Response
You have a couple of options here.
You could remove all the dead canes from last year and leave the budded branches. A better option is likely to just cut all of the canes to the ground and gather them up and dispose of them. This also helps to thin the stand which is better for keeping diseases at bay.
