Grapes #439486

Asked February 03, 2018, 12:04 AM EST

Can someone identify these type of grapes, please? Both photos from one vine.
They are dark purple, crisp, little tart, ripen in mid August in Nashville, tough leave, reddish-brown cane color.
 Thank you.

This is an American bunch variety.  I suspect that it may be Fredonia since it is dark purple to almost black and ripening at the time you indicated. The only other option I know of is Sunbelt, which was developed by the University of Arkansas as a replacement for Concord in hotter areas where uneven ripening in the cluster is an issue with Concord.
