Burrowing rodent? #431769

I have piles of dirt (like the photo that is attached) showing up in my front lawn, around my barn and in the field behind the barn. It has reached a point that is annoying. Do you know what is doing this and can you offer a suggestion about how to deal with it. There aren't obvious burrow openings. This is about 5.6 miles south west of Sedalia, off of HWY 67.
Thank you!

Hello,
CSU Extension has a great Fact Sheet on Burrowing Animals, found here. Based on the figures and photos in the Fact Sheet, your burrowing animal could be a pocket gopher (Fig. 9).
CSU also has a Fact Sheet on managing pocket gophers: https://extension.colostate.edu/docs/pubs/natres/06515.pdf
It's important to properly identify the animal before you take control options. Check with your local wildlife authorities or animal control for options.
