I have an Ash that is losing bark. And now in that area has some abnormal growth. Not sure what it is or how to treat.

I have an Ash that is losing bark. And now in that area has some abnormal growth. Not sure what it is or how to treat.

The tree has what probably started as a frost crack and eventually decaded. The internal wood is rotten and the growths are mushrooms growing in the decaying wood. The tree is a hazard tree and should be taken down before it falls down on someone or damages property.
