Name of shrub #421607

Asked August 16, 2017, 12:29 PM EDT

I just got this shrub-like plant and want to know what it is as well as how tall it will grow and what it's circumference may be. I was told it's name was Beautysweet, but I cannot find any information on the Internet. Before planting, I would like to know where to plant it so there is no need to move it in the future. I would greatly appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks, Jean Manifold

Expert Response

The shrub is beautyberry (Callicarpa dichotoma).  When placed in full sun and ideal growing conditions, the plants may reach 3 to 4 ft in height with a spread of about 4 feet.
