We have a pine tree in our front yard and this spring I noticed a strange looking growth, almost like some kind of nest, growing in the lower limbs. I have attached a couple of photos. Thanks, Bill

Hi Bill,
It looks like you have what is known as a "witch's broom." You can prune it out of the tree if you would like. Sometimes these growths are caused by genetic mutations, and can be propagated and sold as dwarf cultivars.
