Found a Black - hairy(?) spider with a white dot on it's rear with two small white dashes near the spinners.
Looks close to this picture. Should we be concerned for selves and pets?
It's the size of a Dime.

Without seeing the actual specimen, I can't say if you should be worried or not. However, very few spiders are considered harmful to humans. My advice is to capture said spider in a vial with alcohol in it and take it to your local UMass Extension office (https://ag.umass.edu/extensionoutreach/umass-extension-in-your-community/extension-in-western-massac...) for positive identification.
If the spider is in the home, you can vacuum up the spider and the vacuuming process should kill the spider.
