round nuts or berries in summer from tree? #414510

Asked July 15, 2017, 10:32 PM EDT

Hello: We have an enormous (huge, tall) tree that seems to be dropping some berries or nuts. I'm not sure what kind of tree it is (many narrow leaves). Should be concerned? Enclosed photo of the berries or nuts. Photo enclosed. Berries/nuts are smooth, soft on outside, harder on inside.

Expert Response

Would you be able to send us photos showing the inside of the fruits/nuts? Is there a seed or any sign of an insect inside?

Hello, here are photos of the inside. Seems like seeds still intact? Even the nicer berries or nuts have scratches on the outer layer or creases. On the inside they are pretty juicy. But see pictures.
