I moved into my new house in February and I've been surprised all spring at the plants that come up. There's one in particular next to the driveway that looks like part of an onion family and when I pull it up I see little small bulbs that could be garlic or onion related. The flower in June was a dark pink spiky ball and I attached pictures of what looks like now that it has died. Do you know what this
is and can I eat it?

Allium vineale or wild garlic is my tentative identification of this plant, possibly the one called "Hair". They self-seed like crazy, so clean this up and don't compost or sweep seed heads into other parts of your garden.
