I believe my front yard tree (non-flowering pear I believe) -- see attached photos, is being attached by some sort of bug or insect. The tree has always been very healthy, and has grown at a rapid pace with no issues until recently. The ends of the leaves, from the bottom to pretty near the top, are brown & curled, looking as though they are burned. I have attached some photos. Please let me know what this appears to be, and what remedy there might be to stop this from spreading any further. Thank you.

Hello,
This looks a lot like frost damage, from the late spring frost that occurred at the end of April. If you recall, we had a very mild spring and had a lot of early leaf growth. On April 29, the temperatures dropped to the low-to-mid 20s, which caused significant damage.
Fortunately for you, this isn't a disease or anything to be concerned about. The leaves will shed and the tree is overall very healthy.
