I found an orange grasshopper in my garden (see attached photo) and I could not identify it via the MN insect listings. Is this a new species or an invasive one?

It is a phase in the development of the grasshopper. They go through 4-5 nymph stages in their development and color can vary. Here is a link that talks about it. http://www.extension.umn.edu/garden/insects/find/grasshoppers/
