We have a maple tree where the leaves are browning and falling off. Can you please tell me what I can do to correct this?

From the photos this looks like sunburn from the few days of very hot weather a little while ago. I have seen quite a few cases of sunburn on various plants, including maple. If the damage is concentrated on the most sun-exposed leaves, and absent from those in more shade, this is very likely the cause.
