Fringe tree #412248

Asked July 06, 2017, 4:29 PM EDT

I have a fringe tree that I bought about 3 yrs ago and the tree is doing fine but it has never flowered in June like other ones do, do you know why that would be ? I tried this year to add acidic soil around tree and that did not help. Is there anything to do with age of tree ? I have seen smaller fringe trees bloom. It gets plenty of sun. Please help if you can

Hi,

Your fringe tree is still pretty young, so I wouldn't worry about it not flowering yet. Here is some interesting information from Clemson University (so be aware that you're reading about these trees in a different climate): http://www.clemson.edu/extension/hgic/plants/landscape/trees/hgic1027.html

Thank you for your inquiry and good luck! Replied July 06, 2017, 5:24 PM EDT
