We have this mostly-spreading plant growing in garden areas and the runners make it hard to pull out. The flowers are umbellate on tall stalks.
I've been unable to identify it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi,
From your photo, the plant looks like bishop's weed or goutweed (Aegopodium podagraria). It is invasive and very difficult to control. You may need to use an herbicide completely eliminate it from your garden.

Thank you - that appears to be it. I think a previous owner may have planted the variegated form but the regular one has clearly taken over. I'll get out the Roundup.
