How do prune Ruby Falls? Do I let leaves touch the ground?

I believe you are referring to the weeping redbud (Cercis canadensis) 'Ruby Falls'. This tree needs little pruning and the leaves can be allowed to reach the ground. If you would like to tidy it with a trim, prune it lightly in spring, right after flowering.
