Recently I've noticed a few small dark brown bugs, about a quarter of an inch in size, mostly on the first floor of my home. One by a window, one by the entry to my basement and 1 in the downstairs toilet.
There have been 1-2 others as well.
We have carpet and linoleum flooring downstairs.
I've only lived in this house for 2.5 years, but I haven't seen these before. Hope the picture helps.

The picture is just too small to see details that would help me identify it. It looks like a beetle. You can take it to your local extension to see if someone can identify it. The wet weather that we have been experiencing has cause a lot of insects to seek shelter in places that they would not normally do so this may be just one of those insects.
