Expert Response

I don't know what your weather situation has been.  Cypress are senditive to drought and wind damage.  did you give fertilizer and water?  A little slow release fertilizer or organic compost might help. Try to prevent further stress as the plant attempt to recover, and this means watering them during droughts. If you do not get rain for 2-3 weeks or more, consider giving your cypress a good deep watering.

Cypress can get diseases and have insect pests, as well. If know whether this is your problem, you'll need to inspect the branches closely and send us photos or a description of what you see.

Good luck - if you want more feedback on browned areas will need a close up photo of the damage.
