Eggplant leaves turned from gorgeous to pitted... #405476
Asked June 07, 2017, 10:06 PM EDT
Hi, There,
I transferred my eggplants from containers to the ground. In a matter of days, the beautiful eggplant leaves were thoroughly pitted. Are those little black bugs on the leaves? Are these plants even salvageable? What can I do to protect them? Thanks!

This is the damage from flea beetles.
Take a look at the "Common Problems" section on this Eggplant profile page. It also includes a video on protecting eggplants:

If you choose, there is still time, until about mid-June, to set out new seedling plants, and then use the prevention methods like floating row covers that are suggested.
