2...new house to me; "Wildflower garden"? #399892

Asked May 14, 2017, 6:53 PM EDT

Recently moved into a home with a wildflower garden. I don't want to pull out actual flowers/plants but I don't want to encourage weeds and allergy issues, like ragweed and goldrod. Can you help me ID these plants?

Expert Response

Thank you for the question.   It is very difficult to identify plants at this early stage.  As was suggested by a previous Expert to your other question,  allow them to flower and send us photos of all parts of the plant (flowers, leaves, stem) and we can be more helpful to you.
The first plant might be from the rudbeckia family of which there are many different varieties, and the last one has been identified by another of our Experts as daisy fleabane https://courses.missouristate.edu/pbtrewatha/daisy_fleabane.htm but we don't know what the middle one is.

Thank you for contacting Extension.
