My weeping cherry tree has gummosis and split bark. Half of the tree has no leaves. Is there anything I can do to save it? Thank you!

Expert Response
Hi Susan,
We had our plant pathologist look at your photos. It looks like your tree has succumbed to damage from peach tree borers. Unfortunately, the damage looks so severe that it is not worth applying treatment at this point; it won't recover. We recommend that you contact an arborist to have it removed.
