Japan Andromeda #390677
Asked March 28, 2017, 3:35 PM EDT
A branch broke off a Japan andromeda plant today, and I wonder if I can get the branch to grow roots and then replant it? I have put the detached branch in a glass of water.

The cutting will not root in water.
Pieris japonica and cultivars are propagated from softwood cuttings and greenwoods during July and August. Cuttings harvested in mid-October and late November also root. See more on propagation
