I was hoping you could help me identify this crazy spider web. I tried asking on Facebook and everyone just said kill it! Not the response I was looking for. I'm just super curious. It's located right above my front door inside the frame. I appreciate any information you can offer.

The web looks like something a funnel weave spider would make. There are several spiders that build those webs, so without a picture of the spider itself, I can't identify the species.
