Expert Response

The plant you have is a foxtail fern. It is not a true fern as it actually flowers and sets fruit.  It is difficult to diagnose the plant from your photo--it looks to be in sufficient light.  It browning may occur because of low humidity but the plant may be infected with insects.  If possible, remove the damaged fronds and take them to the local extension office in York.  They will be able to determine if there are insects on the plant.
