Hello, we some lemon trees but they are going to be cut to make pedestrian road. My question is can we remove them n order to plant them somewhere else? por once they r cut they die

Citrus trees can be dug and moved, but there are three important steps.
1) dig the trees during the time of year when temperatures are cold or cooler to reduce potential heat stress.
2) cut the trees back significantly prior to digging. The canopy should be reduced 50 to 75%.
3) observe good replanting techniques, especially watering during the first 6 months.
