Hi- How to I kill Salt Cedar so that i can prepare the area to plant Holly?

Roundup or other herbicides containing glyphosate can be used to kill salt cedar. Use it at the recommended rates on the package. You may have to spray the plant several times to get it completely killed. Glyphosate can be persistent in the soil for several months. Let the herbicide decompose and dissipate before trying to plant holly in the areas where the soil was exposed to Roundup.
