bare spots? #367480
Asked October 03, 2016, 12:28 PM EDT
Is now a good time to seed bare spots? My grass is thick, but I have bare spots in a shady part my lawn that get very thin, in early fall.

You will continue to have bare spots in the shade no matter how many times your overseed. Grass needs sun to thrive. However, if you wish to seed anyway, wait until the end of the month or so and do dormant seeding. http://www3.extension.umn.edu/county/stearns/county-horticulture-educator/article/dormant-seeding-yo...
