" Five Island Pink "? #367261

Asked October 02, 2016, 11:35 AM EDT

I found this in midcoast Maine in a field, but I have also seen it one time in a midcoast garden. I transplanted a specimen to my garden (again, midcoast Maine); my plant is about 12-14" tall, but I think the others I saw may have been taller. It has no evident fragrance and seemed to have bloomer later in the summer. As you can see, it has clusters of complex flowers. Any ideas?

If you'd like a positive ID, you can submit it to your local Extension office in Lincoln County and they can ship it to University of Maine - Orono.  https://extension.umaine.edu/gardening/

Good Luck!  If you remember, I'd love to hear what the confirmed identification is.  I hope this finds you well and have a good day.  Cathy
