We have 7 pin oak trees. 6 were bought at a nursery and have severe signs of tree scorch per Eagle Claw tree service. The 7th tree came up from an acorn. This tree shows no signs of the disease. We planted the trees in 1974. My question is: are the fallen leaves harmful to our shrubs and flowers if we mulch them and use them in existing flowers beds? Is it best we discard all fallen leaves?

Hi:
If the trees have bacterial leaf scorch, you can use the foliage. This disease is moved by an insect (tree hopper) and not wind blown like a lot of fungal diseases.
