What is this plant that pops up all over my garden? #363114

Asked September 16, 2016, 11:09 AM EDT

This plant pops up all over my flower beds and in gravelled areas of my garden. It has a main stem that branches into 5 stems with a rosette of 5 leaves at its base, then each of those stems branches into 3 with 3 leaves at its base. Each of the three topmost stems has a small rosette of leaves with tiny green flowers and 1 small seed pod. If you break a part it exudes white sap.

Hi I eventually found it online...it's called Sun Spurge! I was hoping I could eat it as it seems to grow so abundantly in my garden, but alas, it's highly toxic and the sap can irritate the skin, darn :-(
