bees and flies on pussy willow #361770

Asked September 11, 2016, 6:50 PM EDT

If bees and flies new to my pussy willow this year are caused by scales or amphids, what should I do about them? Is the bush doomed? it's growing beautifully and had blooms in February.

Expert Response

I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you are asking.  Bees, flies, scale, and aphids are totally different insects.  They don't cause each other.  In fact, they shouldn't even affect each other.

If the plant is "growing beautifully," why do you think it's doomed?  What appears to be wrong with it?

If there are problems, can you take a couple of photos and attach them to this page?

Thanks!
