Why is my basil yellow? #359283

This year my basil has lots of yellow leaves. Why is that? Photos below show my garden and the basil. Thanks!

I'm not sure but it could be that it has been too wet or lacking in nitrogen. It could just be weather related. Are you mulching with grass clippings? It looks like there is quite a bit of grass in there. As grass clippings break down they can rob nitrogen from the soil. Did you apply any fertilizer at all? Do you rotate your plants in your space? It looks like the new growth is ok. I would pull them and dispose of them when the season is over and consider doing a soil test to see how your soil is.
