Hi we've got a couple of Crimson King Maple's planted in our display down here at the midland fair they were put in last year and I'm noticing a real problem on the leaves do you know what is causing this and what I should spray them with?

This really looks like Japanese beetle damage. These guys will eat plant material from roses to grapevines, and they are voracious eaters.
You need to get a spray that controls beetles, and make sure it specifies Japanese beetle control on the label. Be sure to follow the directions. You should be able to find it at a big box store or a nursery. The other option is to hand pick them and drop them into a bucket of soapy water. They are fairly easy to catch.
