Decorative pear tree issue #352273

We've got what I believe is a decorative pear tree, that has started to have leaves on random branches turn reddish brown and then die. A few of the leaves look like they may have been eaten but no sign of insects. There are white spots on branches but can't tell if this is normal bark for this tree. Any ideas?

It truly is best to bring samples of this tree into the office. If you can search on the branches for a change in the color of the bark or a sunken area cut the branch behind that spot and bring the branches plus healthy branches to the office so we can see the problem up close. More pictures of the tree in full view and from different angles would be good to have with you. Some pictures of the general area around the tree are good to include too.
