Without a flower I can't determine the identity. In the first image there is a dead stem with a gall on it. That is a stem of a goldenrod, there are hundreds of species of goldenrod, I'm not sure if any have those fine of leaves. If you could send a pic when the plant is flowering I should be able to identify it.
