Cheat grass #346282

Is this cheat grass? At this stage is it still worth pulling to reduce seeds falling?

As far as I can tell from these pictures, this appears to be cheat grass, a winter annual that usually germinates in the early or late winter, grows in spring, and then dies in early summer. That starts the whole cycle once again; it is considered a nuisance and invasive plant. So, yes, pulling it and disposing of the plant will prevent the spreading of the seeds.
