Pointy leaf #343982

Found a leaf that didn't match any of the trees in the vicinity and that made me curious as to what tree it belonged to.

It most likely is a leaf from a holly of some kind; maybe from American holly (Ilex opaca). It could possibly be a leaflet from a compound leaf (these have many leaflets attached to a central stalk, all of which constitutes one leaf) from Oregon-grape (probably Mahonia aquifolium). Still, I think that holly is more likely. Both would be found in your area,
