I am looking for an explanation for the brownish discoloration on the rhodo leaves. It occurs along the edge of the leaves as well as in discreet spots. I see it on all the rhodos in the yard. It is worst on the oldest shrub, which gets the afternoon sun.

The leaf on the right is simply an old leaf. Old leaves fall off of rhododendrons any time. The one on the left has a leaf spot disease which we cannot diagnose from the photo alone. The diseases that cause this kind of spotting do not kill the plant and are generally best ignored.
