Can someone please help me identify this skinny black worm? Could it be from my dogs? #342727

We took in a lost dog last week that had worms (little white ones).  We treated him and our dogs.  Tonight I found this worm in my hallway.  My husband told me there was another in the house yesterday.  Can someone please help me identify it?  Could it be from the dogs, or just brought in from outside?

Your picture is not clear enough for me to identify your pest.  I would contact the Veterinary Clinic and see what type of worm they diagnosed he/she had.  I suspect whip or round worm.  My understanding they are clearish/white when healthy and as they die turn black.  Was the worms you found alive?  If the clinic confirms the ID they should be able to tell you what to do to protect your home and yourselves. Good Luck!  A

Thank you so much for your quick response. That first one we saw was dead.  I just found another that was quite alive. I included two photos of them. Could they possibly just be a Brahminy? I saw photos on line and thought they look similar.  I truly appreciate your help. This is a fabulous site. I'm so thankful!

Thanks you for your updated pictures.  I believe your are correct.  You have Brahminy blind snake, Ramphotyphlops braminus.  Any new containers from the outside moved to the inside of your home.  They love living in our outside plant containers.  A
