Super tiny bugs in kitchen #336478

Asked June 26, 2016, 9:50 AM EDT

I recently moved into a rental. I was in the process of unpacking my kitchen when I noticed these tiny tiny black bugs all over the counter top. I tried wiping the countertop down , bug bombing and I'm currently in the stage on leaving Borax out all but covering the counter. I've noticed though that the bugs don't seem to be lessening with the Borax and even find them crawling over it. Some of the cupboards had rice and flour in them from the last tenants and the food didn't have any bugs in them. I have seen these same kind of bugs on piles of wood in the backyard. They are so tiny I can't even get a good picture with my macro lens. Kind of at a loss of what to do now. The kitchen cabinets are empty as is the kitchen. I stopped unpacking the second I saw bugs. So there is no food source of mine in the kitchen area.

Hi

It is very difficult to ID any type of insects without seeing their key part very well. Going by the shape could be either Asian cockroaches or even German cockroaches, these two are often confused with each other because same characteristics and same size.   Please if you can brings a sample to the Extension office will give us a better opportunity to id this bugs. Our office is located at 678 South Cobb Drive in Marietta GA
