name of this crop of purple flowers #335502

Hello, I asked this question last week for the name of this flower growing in the farmer's field in North Albany. This time I am attaching two pictures. Thank you for satisfying my curiosity. Jody

Thanks for the photos, they really helped! This is phacelia, and is only grown by one farmer in the area (as far as I know).  He is growing it for seed, and it is used in wildlife and pollinator mixes.  It is very attractive to bees and therefore is used when people are trying to encourage pollinators.
