Live Oak Concerns #330923
Asked June 10, 2016, 12:23 PM EDT
I live in North Texas and I have a beautiful live oak that provides significant shade in the backyard. I started to notice significantly more leaf dropping this spring, which I read can be normal. However, looking at the tree today, I noticed that there are a lot of browning leaves throughout the tree with some dying twigs. There also seems to be some new growth, but I wanted to have someone take a look at the pictures to make sure there is nothing that I need to do at this time.

I would really need a close up of the foliage to determine the problem.

So if that is the case, it seems that no treatment is recommended at this time. Is that correct?
No treatment should be necessary as long as things continue to dry up.
