Elm Tree leaves turning brown #329436

I have a large elm in my backyard. Many leaves are spotted and look like they are drying out. On closer inspection it seems as if they are being eaten by a very small mite. This has gone on for a few years. Is there some way to treat this?
Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Elms are pretty susceptible to leaf miners and the elm leaf beetle.
