Dwarf Peach Tree leaf pests? #326019

Asked May 28, 2016, 12:26 PM EDT

I have a small dwarf peach tree I planted last year. So far so good.

Though the tree is only a few feet tall it is producing a lot of fruit (which I plan to remove for the year so the nutrients can go to tree and root system).

My question is in regards to the picture I've attached. I have these small semi-circle bumps on the base of the larger leaves. I've also noticed that new leaves are yellowing and falling off the tree. I didn't have these bumps on the tree leaves last year. I'm guessing some sort of pest is laying eggs at the base of the leaf; though I really don't have much experience with this.

Any information regarding this would be awesome.

These are leaf glands, a normal part of a peach leaf.   They occur every year, but become less conspicuous as leaves age. Each variety has one of three gland sizes.

See the following link for a picture of leaf gland types.

The yellowing and dropping of leaves is unrelated to these glands.
