I mowed down an area of wild raspberry and thistle bushes and placed a large sheet of black plastic to kill them off. Now I have put 4 hills of pumpkins on the plastic. Should I cut the plastic away once the pumpkins start to vine, or will they be okay growing on the plastic? I will put boards under the pumpkins once the develop. Near Duluth.
