strawberrys grown in aluminum garbage can #323664
Asked May 21, 2016, 1:37 PM EDT
I was thinking of drilling large holes in an aluminum garbage can and using it to grow strawberrys. Will the strawberry absorb the aluminum?

Expert Response
You should not have a problem but the heat from the aluminum garbage can could cause plants to die; therefore , I would probably stay away from planting strawberry plants in those containers.
