Expert Response

Good Morning. I double-checked my response with another educator who does more work than I do with canning. You should follow the directions for ground beef which are found at this direct link to the National Center for Home Food Preservation: http://nchfp.uga.edu/how/can_05/ground_chopped.html.  Thanks for your question.  Have a great time canning in a safe way, using research based recipes.
