Spider plants have scales #301022

I can't seem to get rid of the scales on my spider plants. I've wiped them down & sprayed w fungicide, but they keep returning. What should I do?

Fungicides will not control an insect infestation.  From your photos this looks like a severe scale infestation on your plants.  Scale insects are difficult to control and can infest other plants.  The best recommendation would be to discard them and start over.  If you want to try to control, see our website for photos and more information http://extension.umd.edu/hgic/scale-insects-houseplants
