Protecting barefoot trees and bushes from deer and other pests #298186

I am buying a quantity of barefoot trees and bushes from the annual Polk County extension sale on Feb. 6th. I have read some articles about using 4 foot grow tubes for the trees and would like to know if you think that is a good way to go. Also, we need to find another method to protect the shrubs but are not sure how to do it.

I need more information how long Do you want to store your bareroot trees? The most successful way to keep bareroot trees is to heal them in something like sawdust out side.
