Triatomine bugs #291771

Asked November 26, 2015, 12:39 PM EST

Can anyone positively identify these bugs?  I believe they may be kissing bugs but I am not certain.

Thanks,

Expert Response

They are a leaf footed bug in the genus Leptoglossus. Aka conifer seed bug. They specialize in conifer seeds. Not a blood feeder. They are a nuisance home invader.

Thank you for responding!  The TAMU entomologist also confirmed.  To a layperson it seems so similar.
